Privacy Policy

We are a two-building, owner-operated apartment business in Fort Lauderdale. We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and rent you an apartment.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing, advertising, or profiling. We never have, and we will not.

Who we are

This site, lauderdaleapartments.com, is operated by the owner of the apartment buildings at 811 SE 16th Street and 105 NE 16th Terrace, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. You can reach us at [email protected] or 646.623.0970. There is no leasing agency, broker, or third-party management company involved.

What we collect when you contact us

When you send an enquiry through a form on this site, we receive:

• your name;
• your email address;
• your phone number, if you provide one;
• your message;
• the date you would like to move in, if you provide one;
• which apartment you were looking at when you wrote to us;
• the language you were reading the site in.

If you use the corporate or extended-stay form, we also receive your company name, arrival date, and intended length of stay.

If you use the "list with us" form as a property owner, we receive the contact and property details you enter there.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for, and the forms cannot transmit, your date of birth, government identifiers, financial account details, or credit information. Anything of that nature that becomes relevant later happens through a signed application and lease, not through this website.

Spam protection

Our forms include one field that is hidden from people and visible only to automated scripts, and they measure how long the form was open before it was submitted. Both signals exist solely to discard bot submissions. We mention them because a privacy policy that omits the data it collects is not a privacy policy.

What our server records automatically

Like any web server, ours writes a log line for each request: the IP address, the page requested, the time, the referring page, and the browser user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. They are not used to build a profile of you.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful and which apartments draw interest. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives usage data about your visit.

We also advertise this website on Google. If you arrive from one of our ads, the link may carry a click identifier and campaign parameters so we can tell which advertisement brought you here and whether our advertising spend is worth continuing. We use that to measure our own advertising. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google's official opt-out browser add-on, and you can manage or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them.

Who else sees your information

Only the service providers that make the site function, and only to the extent they must:

• our web hosting provider, which runs the server;
• our email provider, which delivers your enquiry to us;
• Google Analytics and Google Ads, as described above.

These are processors acting on our behalf, not buyers of your data. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to any other party. The only exception is if we are required to by law, or if we must to protect someone's safety.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we are in contact with you about renting, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. If you become a resident, records connected to your tenancy are kept for as long as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will.

Your choices

Write to [email protected] and we will, without charge:

• tell you what we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it, unless we are legally required to keep it;
• stop contacting you.

You do not need to give a reason, and asking will not affect how we treat your application.

Children

This site is for people looking to rent an apartment. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Fair housing

We rent in compliance with the federal Fair Housing Act and applicable Florida and Broward County law. We do not make rental decisions on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry data is transmitted encrypted. No system is perfect, but we keep what we collect small on purpose: the less we hold, the less there is to lose.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing the text.
