Fort Lauderdale or Miami?

Most people arriving in South Florida think of Miami first. Fort Lauderdale is thirty miles north, and for anyone actually living here rather than visiting for a weekend, it tends to win on the things that matter day to day.

What to expect

105 NE 16th Terrace with its swimming pool, palm trees and parking behind a white balustrade

It is quieter

Residential neighbourhoods a few blocks from the restaurants, rather than a downtown that never stops. Both of our buildings are on low-traffic streets.

Living area with a charcoal sofa and a ceiling fan, looking toward a curtained door, with the bedroom to one side

Parking is not a daily problem

Parking on site, one car per apartment. In much of Miami that is a paid monthly extra, if it exists.

811 SE 16th Street, a two-storey white apartment building with palm trees, a lawn courtyard and off-street parking, with the downtown Fort Lauderdale skyline beyond

The beach is closer to everything

About a mile from either building, and Victoria Park sits in a free shuttle zone that reaches the beach, downtown and Las Olas without a fare.

Living room with wood-look plank flooring, sofa and bright curtained window

Your money goes further

Rents are generally lower than comparable Miami neighbourhoods, and ours include Wi-Fi, water, trash and $100 of electricity.

How this works

How far is Miami from Fort Lauderdale?

Roughly thirty miles south. Brightline and Tri-Rail both connect the two cities, and the Harbordale building is close to those stations.

Is Fort Lauderdale a good base for visiting Miami?

Yes. The train makes day trips straightforward, which is why some people stay here month to month and travel down rather than paying Miami rents.

Why there's no fee

Most rental sites charge you to apply, or charge the landlord to be seen and pass that cost back to you in the rent. We own these buildings. We would rather find a good tenant than collect a fee from everyone who asks a question.
